San Marino Speech & Debate

Wow!​

 

In 2013, over 100,000 high schoolers competed  for 3,000 slots to the National Speech and Debate Championship.  SMSD finished among the finest debate teams in the national tournament and earned the 2013 national Debate School of Excellence Award.  Only the top 20 teams in the country were recognized with this distinction, and SMHS is the only California public school that won this prestigious honor in debate!

 

This past year has been equally impressive. With now over 100 members on the team, San Marino is one of the top schools in our league for speech, and is ranked #1 in our league for debate. Our team is home to some of the most talented, competitive students in the country. This year, we hope to continue climbing the ranks!
